French Silver coins

French Silver Coins were the everyday coins for small business transactions.

Gold Coins were used for more serious business but the main coins in use between ordinary people were Silver and Copper for smaller amounts.

Coins prior to the French Revolution showed the Monarchs Head and a variety of Revolutionary coins were isssued (heavily collected in France)

Napoleonic Coins followed and there are many regional variations.
